About MyQuran

MyQuran is an independent, English-language publication covering the Quran, Muslim communities and thoughtful contemporary living. We publish once a day, five days a week, and we are read by about 80,000 people across 72 countries.

Our mission

We believe the Quran deserves more than short-form memes and soundbites. It deserves essays, reporting, interviews and educational material written with care, edited with rigour, and presented with confidence. Our job is to make that work available to anyone with a phone and an internet connection.

What we publish

  • News — independent reporting on institutions, manuscripts, technology and community projects.
  • Education — primers on tafsir, tajweed, fiqh and classical texts for curious readers.
  • Lifestyle — honest writing about family routines, work, health, hospitality and modesty.
  • International — how Muslim communities live, build and contribute in every region of the world.

Editorial principles

All writers at MyQuran publish under their real names. We correct errors promptly, we distinguish reporting from opinion, and we disclose conflicts of interest. You can read our corrections policy and our ethics charter on request.

Who we are

MyQuran was founded in 2024 by a small group of writers, editors and designers working remotely from Jakarta, Cairo, Kuala Lumpur, Detroit and London. We are a community-supported publication: if you find our work useful, please share it with one other person.
